
Wallace Boersma: Director
Wallace began his commercial real estate lending career in 1994. He was a principal with a small loan commercial lender with a warehouse line of credit of two hundred million dollars. Two years later, Commercial Resources was formed in Marshall, Texas. Over the last twelve years, he has been a principal in Commercial Resources as head of the underwriting department overseeing the underwriting and closing of hundreds of loans secured by every type of income producing multifamily and commercial real estate. During his entire career, Wallace has been active in finance. His experience includes over six years in municipal bond underwriting and twenty-five years of experience in designing financial and accounting computer systems. His municipal bond experience included establishing defeasance escrows to fund advance refunding issues. His computer systems experience involved general ledger applications emphasizing cash management control and financial analysis. Wallace’s experience and clients are diverse. Clients included property management firms, oil and gas companies and many others. The client base averaged a tenure of over fourteen years with several firms as clients for over twenty years.
Wallace received his BBA from the University of Michigan in finance and a MS from Colorado State in economics and mathematics. He did his post graduate studies in finance at the University of Texas in Austin. He received his CPA certification in 1970.

Garrett Boersma: Chief Operating Officer
Garrett is the managing partner at Commercial Resources and has over 15 years of experience leading high performance teams of talented professionals. Garrett has originated commercial and multifamily loans for Commercial Resources nationwide with a focus in the South Central United States. He has closed hundreds of loans secured by every type of income producing property. Garrett also has experience investing in and managing commercial real estate. He has successfully completed commercial development and renovation projects. The current investment portfolio includes office and self-storage properties. Garrett works closely with the team responsible for managing these assets.
Before joining Commercial Resources, Garrett worked as an Originator for a commercial real estate lending firm. Garrett was also a production manager for the JELD-WEN Corporation. His facility was located in Orlando, FL, where it assembled and distributed interior and exterior doors and building products throughout the state of Florida. Garrett also served as an engineer on the commercial fishing boat, Anita, in Alaska.

Edward Boersma: Director of Loan Production
Edward is a partner with Commercial Resources and has work here since 2004. Edward started his career with Commercial Resources in San Antonio, TX and is currently located in the Oklahoma City Metro. He has successfully closed loans on multiple property types in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Before joining Commercial Resources, Edward had a long and successful career with Sperry-Sun Drilling Services (a subsidiary of Halliburton). With Sperry-Sun he initially managed and directed Sperry-Sun LWD (logging while drilling) operations at the rig site, trained engineers on advanced directional drilling and formation evaluation technologies and implemented first generation / concept sensors while providing operation results to technology. From there he moved into Technology in the role of software / hardware test engineer. He quickly became the Test Team Leader, and from there moved into the role of Project Manager. As Project Manager, Edward managed multiple projects. Budgets totaled $4.6 Million with a staff of approximately 25 programmers and technical professionals. His primary project was Sperry-Sun INSITE. This computer system is used in Operations to provide a real-time network of all surface and down-hole activities at the drilling site. It also provides real-time data processing, monitoring and transfers batch and real time data to anywhere in the world.
